New Technology With Energizer Hearing Aid BatteriesIn a report submitted by Energizer Battery company, almost two million hearing aids were issued in 2002, and of those, 69% of them were sold to the over 65 age group. It is estimated that almost 7 million Americans require hearing aids and 71% of those are binaural hearing aids. This means, that hearing aids are required in both ears. When it comes to hearing aid batteries, that means as many as three-quarters of all hearing aid users require twice as many batteries as the others. When hearing aid batteries are being consumed at a rate of anywhere from two to twenty-one days, this could be an incredible inconvenience, and expense. The average length of life of hearing aid batteries is two weeks, but with the new smaller devices on the market, the batteries are also smaller making them drain much more quickly. Energizer has conducted research on their Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries and has established that customers are purchasing their product as many as 16 packages at a time. The smaller sized batteries are also much easier to lose which means customers are at an added expense if care is not taken with their batteries. Energizer has come up with a solution for their Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries to combat possible loss of the smaller batteries. The solution is called the Energizer EZ Change Battery and the hearing aid batteries come pre-packaged in a dial that will mechanically insert the replacement battery into the hearing aid. This completely eliminates any necessity for hands to touch the battery at all.
Customers that are older or may have shakier hands are finding this tool very useful, and many customers are preferring this method to the sticker tabs currently on hearing aid batteries. When climates and temperatures are higher, the glue n the sticker tabs has a tendency to get sticky and there is often residue left on the battery. When the customer tries to remove the glue, it has a tendency to get stuck in the battery air holes and destroying the battery. With Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries EZ Change, the customer is guaranteed a working, fresh battery every time. Given that the majority of hearing aid battery customers are in the retirement age group, the small size of the batteries combined with the customer's possible declining sight and arthritic hands makes changing batteries a burden. The EZ Change battery system virtually deletes these concerns for the older hearing aid customer, and Energizer seems to have created this product with both hearing and vision loss in mind. Energizer hearing aid batteries come pre-equipped with the EZ Change system that will allow customers to replace their hearing aid batteries directly into their hearing aid through the use of a magnetic arm. This magnet is also used to take out the dead batteries. The Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries are available in sizes 10, 13, 312, and 675. |
